Port Klang distribution yard

Bay 01 — Company

A practice built around the Malaysian yard

Eaveston was founded to give Malaysian operations teams an outside perspective they could act on — not a framework imported from elsewhere and applied without adjustment.

Bay 02 — Story

How Eaveston came about

Eaveston grew from a straightforward observation: many Malaysian logistics operations are well run by the people inside them, but have never had a structured outside look. Not because those teams lacked skill — quite the opposite — but because the day-to-day leaves little room for stepping back and examining how the yard actually flows.

We started with single-site observations for SMEs around Selangor and found that a focused half-day visit, followed by a plain-language written note, was something operations leads could use immediately. It did not require a lengthy project or a new software system. It required someone who knew what to look at and could write it down clearly.

From there, clients began asking for help with specific process areas — outbound cadence was a common one — and eventually for an ongoing advisory relationship. The three engagements we offer today reflect what Malaysian businesses have actually found useful, rather than a product catalogue designed in advance.

Bay 03 — Mission

What we are here to do

Operational clarity

We help operations teams see their own processes more clearly. That means structured observation, honest documentation, and recommendations that fit the business rather than a template.

Useful written output

Every engagement ends with a document. Not slides, not a dashboard — a written reference the team can keep, update, and share internally as people and processes change.

Working alongside, not above

Advisory works when the client's team is part of the process. We ask questions, listen to what the operations lead already knows, and build on that — we do not arrive with predetermined answers.

Bay 05 — Standards

How we work

These are the protocols we hold to across every engagement, regardless of size or duration.

Confidentiality by default

What we observe and document stays within the engagement. We do not reference client operations in other client contexts, and we do not share operational findings externally.

Scope agreed in writing

Before any engagement begins, we agree in writing on what the work covers and what it does not. Changes to scope are discussed openly before any additional work is undertaken.

Delivery to schedule

Written outputs are delivered within the timelines we agree at the outset. If a delay arises, we communicate it promptly and explain why rather than letting it pass without notice.

Honest assessment

We write what we observe, including where operational practice is solid and where it is not. A useful observation note reflects what is actually happening in the yard, not what a client might prefer to read.

No displacement of existing partners

Our advisory work sits alongside your freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents. We have no commercial interest in replacing those relationships and do not position our work as a substitute for licensed freight services.

Transparent pricing

Published engagement fees are in Ringgit Malaysia and include site visits within Selangor and the Klang Valley. Any out-of-scope work or additional travel is discussed before, not billed after.

Bay 06 — Context

Logistics advisory in the Malaysian context

The Klang Valley and its surrounding distribution corridors handle a substantial share of Malaysian inbound and outbound logistics. Many of the businesses in this network — importers, light manufacturers, e-commerce fulfilment operations, and distributors — have built their logistics practices through experience rather than formal review. That produces operations that work, but often contain inefficiencies and documentation gaps that only become visible when volume increases or staff change.

Eaveston focuses on the operational layer: the practices, rhythms, and documentation that govern how goods move through a facility. This is a distinct area from freight procurement or customs compliance. It sits closer to how a warehouse actually functions day to day — how shifts are structured, how picks are sequenced, how despatch is timed, and how internal documentation keeps pace with movement.

Businesses that benefit most from this kind of advisory are those with an operations lead who already has a practical understanding of the business, but limited time to step back and examine it systematically. An outside engagement provides that perspective without requiring a new hire or a lengthy consulting project.
