Bay 03 — Why Eaveston

What makes this advisory different

Operational, not transactional

We focus on what happens inside your facility — yard flow, documentation, and team cadence — rather than carrier rates or customs filings.

Clear written deliverables

Every engagement produces a written output your team can keep and reference — not a slide deck that leaves with the consultant.

Based at Port Klang

We work across Selangor and the Klang Valley. Site visits are straightforward to arrange without travel premiums or remote-only sessions.

Sized for SMEs and growth-stage firms

Our engagements are priced and structured for Malaysian businesses that are not yet large enough for a full-time operations manager but need serious advisory support.

Fixed scope, transparent fees

Each engagement has a defined scope and a published price in Ringgit Malaysia. No retainer lock-ins without your agreement, no hidden day-rate surprises.

Your forwarders stay in place

We do not displace your existing licensed forwarders or freight partners. Our work is complementary — improving the operational layer that sits alongside those relationships.

Bay 05 — Questions

Common questions

Who is a typical Eaveston client?
Most of our clients are Malaysian companies — often SMEs or mid-size firms — operating one or more warehouses or distribution points in Selangor or the wider Klang Valley. Some are well-established businesses whose internal logistics practices have grown organically and have not been formally reviewed. Others are scaling quickly and want an outside perspective before hiring their first full-time operations manager.
What does the observation note engagement involve?
We schedule a site visit, typically half a day, where we walk the facility with your operations lead. We look at how goods move through the yard, how inbound and outbound flows are managed, and how documentation is handled. Following the visit, we produce a written observation note — a structured document you can keep, share internally, and act on at your own pace.
Does the cadence workshop replace our existing processes?
Not by default. The workshop helps your team examine the current outbound sequence — from order receipt through to despatch — and identify where the cadence is inconsistent or where handoffs are unclear. The written cadence reference we produce reflects a version of your process that has been reviewed and agreed with your team, not something imposed from outside.
How is the retainer structured across six months?
Each month includes a written operational review based on what you share with us — metrics, incident notes, team feedback. Fortnightly calls give your operations director a standing channel for questions and direction-checking. Each quarter we visit in person for a half-day workshop. The engagement runs for six months with a clear scope agreed at the start.
Do you handle customs, freight, or carrier negotiations?
No. Our work is operational consulting only. Trade and customs filings remain with your licensed forwarders, and carrier-rate negotiations stay with whichever freight partners you have chosen. We work on the operational layer — the internal practices and documentation that sit alongside those external relationships.
Are the published prices inclusive of travel to site?
For sites within Selangor and the Klang Valley, travel is included in the published engagement price. If your facility is outside this area, we will discuss any additional considerations before the engagement begins so there are no surprises in the invoice.
